- Dec 27 $5000 AWS towards EOY campaign
- Github Sponsorship
- PyCon Update
- Preplanned open space/BoF
- NVIDIA will donate their booth. It’s a big booth
- NVIDIA to reach out to PyCon and follow up
- We should not have a big empty booth
- Respawn PSF scientific working group
- Goals:
- Have stronger ties with PSF. it’s a strong brand and don’t want to seem misaligned with wider python ecosystem
- Help them have policies and practices that help them represent the scientific software working system
- E.g., there’s a PSF governance proposal to add a packaging council that’s under the steering committee. Their governance is changing
- Specifically with packaging a lot of things are happening with wheel and they forget about conda
- Considerations:
- There is the Scientific Python NumFOCUS Project that exists
- Scientific Python works with PyPI side - but no PSF Board involvement
- We need to figure out financials if something occured (SDG)
- Goals:
- Help promote their conference
- Do we want a BoF?
- Jeremy Tanner from Advisory Council offered to help coordinate
- Follow ups
- Confirming if we have the NVIDIA booth available to us
- If not, do we want to pursue an alternative option?
- Can we determine who will be at the conference? How to coordinate the presence.
- Figure out goals of booth
- Leah’s offboarding logistics
- To stay on Slack for a month under personal email. Will need to be added back to slack groups
- Leah to be available for 3 months after new ED is hired
- This meeting is using Leah’s personal zoom account.
- Last day is April 28
- Code of conduct update
- Went back and in the WG charter, it indicates that the WG can own changes.
- Small Development Grants
- 75K first round, May 2 first CFP
- TSC has been notified by Arliss
- [move to next week] Fundraising tracking and cadence - how to operationalize
- Async reporting in hubspot?
